The Wasps have made one of their most ambitious signings to date by signing Jack Daley, who played for Loughborough University in Division 2 last season. Daley brings with him a terrific basketball CV and was coached by GB basketball captain Andrew Sullivan at Loughborough.

Jack has recently moved to the area and stated why he was eager to join the Wasps: “I am happy to be welcomed into such an organised and professional outfit. I have been very impressed with the staff and the players so far and I am looking forward to an exciting and successful season.”

At 6”5, Daley brings size and athleticism to the Wasps frontcourt.  He has also been a big hit with the existing players at the club.

Wasps captain John Kelsey said, “Jack has been a great addition to the team. He brings with him a competitive edge that feeds into the other players. He automatically raised the standard of play in training. He has a great engine and is an amazing athlete; he will definitely make my life at the PG a little easier.”

Coach Fawcett was also happy to put forward his opinion on Daley. “He is a coach’s dream to have in training. Firstly he is tough; I don’t think I have heard him call for a foul once in training. Jack also has a great basketball IQ. He understands the game and how to make his team better. Most importantly, he is a great guy. You can tell he has good people around him and has already blended in with the lads. Loughborough should be proud of producing such a well-rounded player.”

Jack Daley is now training with the squad in preparation for a great season!
