Wasps Reserves Ready To Shine

The Hull Wasps reserve team will take part in the first ever Hull Wasps Invitational. The Invitational has been organised by Liam Wordsworth and will feature four teams from the local area who all play in local leagues. Scarborough, East Riding and the Hull Hornets will all come to play against the Wasps reserves in a tournament taking place at Kelvin hall school this Saturday.

"We wanted to give the reserve team the chance to get a good standard competition in before the start of their season. Bringing in three other local league teams allows the reserves to play against the standard of team they will face in the upcoming Doncaster League. " Wordsworth said.

The Reserves have been playing together for one month now under the guidance of the first team head coach Matthew Fawcett and he has seen some talent for the future already.

"The aim of the reserve team is to allow players to develop and hopefully this season they will do just that. There are some very exciting prospects in the reserve team and they have all been fantastic to work with so far in training."

The Hull Wasps invitational is on from 10am - 4 pm at Kelvin Hall School, The Active Zone, Bricknell Avenue. It’s free to enter and come and watch the reserve team attempt to capture the first ever Hull Wasps invitational title.
