Hull’s National League Basketball Club, the Hull Wasps, have today announced the capture of a new fundraising manager, Geoff Brown.

Geoff has recently been a fundraiser for ‘Friends of Belfield’ Trust, where he raised a significant amount and was a key figure in the organisation. After recently resigning from his post, Geoff will now take over at the Wasps and continue his excellent work to help move the Wasps forward.

“It’s a great capture for the club” said co-chairman, David Bushnell.

“I’ve known Geoff for some time now and he’ll be a great ambassador for the club. He has helped out on game nights occasionally since the start of the season and with every chance he gets, he has promoted the club.

“His enthusiasm is fantastic and without doubt, he will be a great asset to this club.”

Hull Wasps were hit with the news that main club sponsors, MW Services, went into administration after just a couple of months into the season, leaving the club without necessary funds to compete at National League level.

Bushnell continues: “Geoff has great ideas to help raise much needed funds at the club and we’re all excited he has made the decision to join the club.”

Anyone with feedback or ideas regarding fundraising for the club are encouraged to contact Geoff on game nights or by emailing info@hullwasps.co.uk
