Wasps Ready for Falcons Showdown

Hull Wasps return home tomorrow night and welcome second-place Stockport Falcons. The Falcons are bidding to stay in the top places but the Wasps haven't given up hope of reaching the play-offs yet.

After a terrific 72-64 win two weeks ago over Bradford Dragons and a dramatic last second 56-54 win at Burnley Blaze last weekend, Hull are brimming with confidence ahead of this all important clash, which if they win, will bring them a step closer to reaching the play-offs.

"We're feeling confident at the moment but we're not getting carried away" said Wasps player-coach Matt Fawcett.

"We've played some good basketball since December and we're looking to continue that run. Stockport are an incredible team and they showed us how well they can play when we went to theirs earlier in the season.

"Unfortunately we left there without the win but we've been working hard in training to make sure they dont do the double over us."

if the Wasps defeat the Falcons tomorrow night, not only will they be one step closer to a play off spot, but it will be the first time in the clubs history where they will have beaten every side in the league at least once in a full season. It would be a tremendous feat for young coach, Fawcett in his debut season as first-team coach.

"It would be a nice achievement but that wont matter too much if we dont reach the play offs. Were just focusing on the game tomorrow for now. if we can add two more points tomorrow were in with a shot. we must remain focused until the end of the season."
