The Hull Wasps have signed a new forward for the upcoming season! Patrick "Pat" Hope is currently attending Hull University and has been a big reason as to why the University team have been so strong in the BUCS competitions this year.

Coach Fawcett stated, "There is no doubt that Pat can contribute to this team. He is athletic, technically very good and wants to win. These attributes are the foundation of a good ball player. He will have a steep learning curve, especially during the pre-season, but he is itching to get started and when a player like Pat is ready to go, I think he will be fine."

Pat played as a junior under the guidance of Bob Martin at Doncaster Eagles. The Eagles are a well-established junior side who have been producing solid players for years. It is hoped that with that pedigree behind him and his willingness to learn and help the team, Pat can really make an impact with the Wasps.
