The Wasps continue to reshuffle their squad ahead of the upcoming try-outs. John Stewart, Jack Daley and Manuel Guzman will all be leaving the club to return to their universities. This season was a placement year for the three Wasps stars and they certainly made an impact at the club.

John Stewart made headlines early on when he signed for the Wasps but didn't disappoint finishing as runner up player of the year and recording a Wasps season high 56 points away to Sefton. John was a big influence on the squad something assistant Coach James Coulson was quick to point out. "John has a presence which you cannot help but warm to. He was a great personality in training and raised everybody's game. Off the court he gelled with the team and became a good friend of us all. Hopefully we can lure him back to the club in the future."

Jack Daley was the first of the big recruits to join up with the squad. A fan favourite his physical play was a huge boost to the club this year and he was a constant highlight. This was clear when he had the dunk of the season against Liverpool at Ennerdale. Captain John Kelsey commented on Jack's influence at the club. "Jack is one of the best teammates I have ever had. He works so hard and is a funny guy to be around. We spend a lot of time traveling during the season and you build bonds with players, I hope Jack knows how much of an impression he made on this club.

Manuel Guzman affectionately known as Manu was the Wasps tallest recruit. Guzman was over here for a season whilst studying business at Hull University and made a huge impression with the local basketball community. Again assistant Coach Jimmy Coulson commented on Manuel. "Manu was brilliant this season. He is so technically gifted and has great hands for a big guy. He was also so warm as a person and will be missed around the club.

The Wasps have entered numerous Summer Leagues so all three players may still have one unofficial appearance left with the club but we would like to thank them for all their hard work and they will always go down as players on the first Wasps promotion squad!
