The Hull Wasps were knocked out of the Mens National Shield on Sunday evening by National League 3 side, Durham Wildcats. The Wildcats were dominant throughout and showed their class in the game with a brilliant all round performance to see off Hull.

Hull who were without Jamie Goodwin, put in another brave performance to follow on from the thrilling encounter the evening before, against League 4 favourites, Stockport Falcons. Some tired legs showed but the Hull side never gave up and performed until the final buzzer.

Durham will now go on to face League 3 high-flyers, Bradford Dragons in a bid to make it to the semi-finals.
