HULL WASPS added 2 more points to the league table on Saturday evening with a firm 76-54 victory over Liverpool.
Hull once again started the game slowly and found themselves 12-5 down after 6 minutes but a 15-2 run from the home side saw them take the lead and never look back from there.
A strong second period from the Wasps saw them open up a 40-29 lead going into the half-time break.
Both sides came out determined to keep the game alive with some very even scoring at both ends of the court. However, Liverpool found some resurgence and put together a run of 9 unanswered points at the end of the 3rd quarter to close the gap going into the final period.
A spectacular final quarter performance from Hull widened the gap further through some fantastic shooting, particularly from captain Jamie Goodwin, who came off the bench in the second half to score 10 points of his own in the final quarter.
James Rayner top scored with 15 points, Rob Birchmore and Ashley Rice scored 11 each. Hull travel to the north east on Saturday afternoon to take on Tees Valley Sonics.
