It was an unfortunate end to an entertaining Derby Cup '10 for the Hull Wasps as they crashed to a second half onslaught from Yorkshire rivals, Bradford Maroons. After a promising opening quarter and a battling second, the Wasps began to slip in the third as the Division 3 side opened up a 20 point lead to take the title back to Bradford.
Hull Wasps were missing some key individuals including James Rayner, Jason Munro, Adrian Blatherwick and captain Jamie Goodwin, and although there were some fantastic battling performances from the Wasps, it wasn't enough to secure the trophy for the third successive year.
As the annual club fundraiser, it proved to be more successful with the club raising over £400 to help sustain the club throughout the coming season. The club would like to thank all those who attended and supported the event which goes a long way to helping the club.
