Saturday night brings our first home game of the league campaign against Ilkeston Outlaws. The derbyshire side will be coming to the Gemtec Arena on the back of some very good results.

The Outlaws have won 2 out of their 3 games so far this season, all at home, winning their National Shield Round 1 fixture against College of West Anglia Fury, followed the next week with victory over the Wirral Hornets. They narrowly missed out to Leicester Warriors in the National Cup only by 3 points. It's clear to see by their record so far that Ilkeston really won't be a side to be pushed a side lightly.

"The guys know they have to work hard on Saturday. The message in training this week was that we must be ready to play in the opening stages of games. That is vital, especially when we hold home court advantage." Coach James Coulson said.

"Ilkeston have proved already they are a tough side. They may have finished 7th in the league last year but this year is a whole different ball game. They have come out strong so far and we have to be ready for them on Saturday."

Hull Wasps come into the game on the back of 2 defeats. In the absense of Coulson, the team lost out narrowly away to Bury on Saturday, followed by defeat in the Cup to a very good Bradford Dragons on the Sunday. After victory in the shield however, against a very good Mohawks side, and with the return of Coach Coulson, the Wasps could get the season back on track with victory in front of the home crown at the Gemtec Arena.

The game tips off at 7pm, doors open at 6pm.
