Player Focus: Jason Munro

Each week during the summer we will be letting the fans find out more about the players who make up the new look Hull Wasps squad.

We start  this week with the athletic forward Jason Munro.

Jason was one of the original players who played for the Wasps during the 2008/2009 season. It did not take long for fans to grow attached to Jason who gave the fans a show every game with his dunks in the warm up. But Jason brings much more than dunks to the Wasps this season and will be a key factor to the club this year.

Munro has been playing national league basketball for the better part of a decade and is a product of a youth program in Nottingham. Jason has experience and knowledge of the game and his attitude to training only makes him even more special.

Jason is a competitive player who is a great asset to the team on the defensive end of the court. He is long-bodied and athletic and collects his fair share of blocks during a game. The power forward or small forward position is where Munro will do his damage this year and he will be one of the teams better rebounders due to his great timing and physical presence.

Look out for Jason Munro during the upcoming season.
