With less than 24 hours before the National League 4 Hull Wasps v Liverpool game, the club regret to announce the cancellation of this fixture and sincerly apologise for the late notice. However, the Wasps will now face the Lincoln Lightning on Saturday evening as a replacement encounter. We encourage all to come along and enjoy this fantastic spectacle and show your support for the Wasps.

Like Tees Valley Mohawks last week, Liverpool have been faced with various injuries and player absences, and have decided to withdraw from the fixture. Hull Wasps have now been awarded a 20-0 win which moves them up into 8th place in the table, before today's fixtures. It means that Hull cannot finish anything lower than 9th position in the table. A fantastic achievement for a new National League club.

"Although the last 2 weeks have meant we have earned our point by default, It's a good feeling to know we'll finish in a good position." said coach James Coulson.

"We've worked hard all year and I was always confident we would win these 2 games anyway but no side wants to put 2 points on the board without playing a game. This is our end of season push and if some of the other results go our way we can still finish mid-table, which without a doubt, is a massive achievement for any new club."

Entry for the Lincoln Lightning will be at just £2 each for everybody attending. No game-night programmes will be available due to the lateness of the announcement. Tip-off will still be at 7:00pm.
