John Kelsey Takes Three Awards

HULL WASPS point guard, John Kelsey took home three awards at the club's first ever Player of the Year Awards on Friday evening, winning Supporters' Player, Players' Player and the ultimate award of Most Valuable Player.

Kelsey, who has had an outstanding season for the Wasps, was voted for by the majority of the club's loyal supporters, along with receiving the other accolades from his team-mates, chairman and coach.

"I would like to thank you all for giving me this award" said an emotional Kelsey. "It really means a lot to me to know that my team-mates recognise the effort I put in and to receive the other awards as well was just amazing."

Five other awards were handed out to other players to recognise their hard work and achievements throughout the season.

Reserve Team Player of the Year

Defensive Player of the Year

Most Improved Player of the Year
James Rayner (Nominations: Rob Birchmore, Miles Anderson)

Clubman Award
Jason Munro (Nominations: Jamie Goodwin, Matt Fawcett)

Supporters' Player of the Year
John Kelsey (Nominations: Miles Anderson, Liam Wordsworth)

Players' Player of the Year
