The Hull Wasps are seeking a new main club sponsor from today after the collapse of property development firm, MW Services. It is a huge disappointment for the new basketball club who, after such a large 112-48 win this weekend against Reddish, are now left without the support from a main sponsor.

MW Services took on the main sponsorship before the start of the season back in September but have since closed business operations a fortnight ago which has left Hull's new National League basketball club without a main sponsor.

"We are extremely disappointed to say the least" said club director, David Bushnell.

"We've worked extremely hard to bring a national league team back to Hull this past year and this news has really hit us hard.

"However we are in good position with the help from our existing sponsors and we'll be doing plenty of fundraisers to help the club and we hope even more people will come to support us until the end of the season.

"We are now seeking another main sponsor which will really help the development of the sport in the Hull and East Riding area."
