It's not been an easy start to the season so far for the Hull Wasps. A recent run of poor results away from home and a narrow loss to Ilkeston at home, sees the Hull side near the foot of the table.

"We will definitely improve." said coach, James Coulson.

"We have to. The recent run has knocked some confidence out of our guys at the moment but they are all determined to put things right. We're working harder than ever in training, putting in some extra sessions when we can. We will get past this block and I'm sure it will be soon.

If we can get a win under our belts, I'm sure you'll see the guys play some really good basketball."

It's not a situation Coulson is taking lightly. He knows that it is important for the progression of the club on and off the court.

"We know it's about winning games. People like to watch winning sides and we know we can do that. Our first performance against Tees Valley showed that. If our fans stick behind us and stay positive, especially when we're at home, the guys will pull through I'm sure."

The Wasps are without a game this weekend due to the re-arrangement of the Round 2 fixture of the National Shield against Durham Wildcats so full preparation is going into the double-header weekend against Stockport and Durham, both at the Gemtec Arena on the 1st and 2nd November.
