HULL Wasps face perhaps the toughest test of their promotion credentials yet when the league leaders cross the Pennines.
The Wasps face top-of-the-table Warrington Wolves at the Bonus Arena in Walton Street, west Hull, tomorrow at 7.30pm.
The teams met in pre-season when tomorrow’s visitors, coached by former England star Delme Herriman, sneaked a 68-66 victory.
Player-coach John Brignell said neither team would resemble the sides that clashed in the summer.
Brignell, Hull’s 6ft 8in centre, said: “We know what Warrington will be about after playing them in pre-season. They will move the ball well, hit their open shots and work hard on defence.
“We know they have improved since the summer, but we have too. Our two losses have not shaken our belief that we can beat any team in this league or that we have a good chance of reaching the play-offs.
“Warrington are beatable, Stockport showed that, but we will certainly have to be at our best if we want to beat them too.”
