Awards Evening Scheduled for 6th April

Hull Wasps basketball team are to hold Awards Evening celebrating players’ achievements and involvement of young people in basketball.

Hull's only current National League basketball team, the Hull Wasps, are to hold an Awards Evening and Race Night fundraiser in order to celebrate the achievements in local sport over the last year. The evening shall involve an awards ceremony, a Race Night event and a raffle, with funds going towards the ongoing development of the Hull Wasps National League and Junior teams. The event will take place on Saturday, 6thApril, beginning at 7 PM, at Soccer Sensations, Poor House Lane, Preston Road.      

The awards ceremony shall be celebrating the involvement of young people in basketball, with titles such as Under 16s Most Valuable Player and Under 13s Most Valuable Player being awarded. The Wasps are hoping to continue to encourage and increase involvement of young people in basketball by rewarding their efforts each season. The ceremony will also be applauding the players of the National League team Hull Wasps. Awards include Most Valuable Player, Fans’ Player, and Most Improved player.

Hull Wasps’ Coach, Matthew Fawcett, told hullwasps.com “It’s a great opportunity for the club to celebrate the great achievements of the last year. It is so important to encourage local involvement in sport, especially with young people. We've had a great cup run, a good league campaign and some fantastic individuals taking part.”
