HULL WASPS lost out in a paintful 67-72 defeat at the Gemtec Arena on Saturday evening. The Wasps were on the losing end of a close end-to-end game and were unfortunate to come away without the points.
Another slow start proved costly for Hull as Wirral stormed ahead on an opening 15-3 run. Half-way through the first quarter Hull finally started to gather some momentum and put together a run of their own to bring scores much closer to finish the period 21-18 behind.
A much closer...

IT TOOK a game-winning free-throw from forward James Rayner to seal a nerve-racking 59-58 victory over the Middlesbrough Lions on Sunday afternoon in National League 4.
After last week's home defeat to Huddersfield, it was important for the Wasps to pick up 2 points and keep pace with the other teams at the top of the league, and was an ideal response to their coach's request to "treat every game like a play-off".

A slow start to the game found Hull trailing...

Hull Wasps were sent crashing to earth in their first home game of the season, losing 66-87 to Huddersfield Heat.
In what has been a good start to the season for the Wasps, they were not quite at their usual best. A slow start and an on-fire Heat team who seemed to have everything fall their way, cost Hull Wasps a home victory.
After a fairly even opening 5 minutes between the two sides, the Heat quickly sprung to life and went on an extended run of points to open up an 11 point lead to finish...

In the second game of their double-header weekend, Hull were unable to pull off an upset in the National Shield, going down 85-64 against division three side Bradford Dragons.
The scoreline perhaps isn't a true reflection of a game in which the Wasps were very much in it for long periods, leading by as many as 10 points despite the absence of captain Goodwin through work commitments and Pilarski through the injury he sustained in Bury.
Kucmierczyk netted 19 points in West Yorkshire as...

HULL Wasps were sent crashing back down to Earth with a 77-74 defeat at Bury Blue Devils, their first of the season in NBL division four.
The Wasps spent the majority of a close encounter trying to recover from a poor first quarter that left them trailing 22-13.
Only centre Michal Kucmierczyk provided much in the way of offence, hitting seven of his 13 points in the first period.
An improved second quarter saw the visitors recover to within three points by the end of the half, thanks to a...

Well, the travelling over to America started saturday morning and it was a long long trip! From leaving good old Hull it took around 20 hours before we arrived at the 76ers basketball camp. Liam Wordsworth a Hull Wasps Player who is travelling with me couldn't contain his excitment and soon started playing ball on the courts.
As the camp started we met all the other counsellors who are working with us some of which play professional basketball in europe! We also met a 76ers player called...
